BEDROOM 1

This is without a doubt our best room, breathtaking views that will lull you into a soporific state of bliss. Three private balconies, one overlooking the split level pool. This spacious room is furnished with Egyptian style furniture covered in the finest white bull denim. An open dressing room leads you to the bathroom. Soak in the sps bath and watch sea gulls fly by.

BEDROOM 2

Wake up to the sound of the surf and panoramic sea views. This gorgeous room boasts a flat screen television and the décor is a charming combination of the old and the new. Sea facing balconies ensure that sundowners turn into sublime experiences.

BEDROOM 3

Adjoining styled rooms with sliding doors separating bedroom and large bathroom, great sea views from both rooms. Lovely dimensions. The beautifully appointed bathroom adds depth and tones of opulence to this room.

BEDROOM 4

Queen sized bed. Bathroom is equipped with a single vanity basin, shower and Victorian bath. Sea views from bedroom window.

BEDROOM 5

This room has its own private patio and dipping pool. Features a sunken marble bath, twin shagreen vanities, a blend of Eastern and Henry IV antiques.

BEDROOM 6

Spectacular sea views leading onto wrap-around balconies. Antique King sized beds. The bathroom is handsome; Shamford mirrors are lit with barber style lighting.

BEDROOM 7

Twin three quarter beds, beautiful sea views. Consists of both sea facing and mountain facing balconies. The bathroom is fitted with two huge shell framed mirrors.

BEDROOM 8

Antique King Sized four poster bed. This room has an oriental style décor. Two swishy Yankee chairs, covered in silk invite you to look out for whales. The balcony leading from the bathroom has stupendous mountain views.

BEDROOM 9

Venetian glass-walled dressing room, sunken bathroom and large room with mountain and sea views.

BEDROOM 10

This indo-China room is completed by an exquisite green quarry tiled bathroom boasting a stone bath and basin.

TIPPING POLICY

The staff at Birkenhead House would like you to know that they do not expect individual tips. However, guests who would like to show their appreciation can do so by contributing to a staff gratuity fund, which is distributed once a month. The guideline that we suggest is Rands 150 per person per day and may be offered at the end of your stay and placed in the envelope provided in your room. This is however entirely at your own discretion.
